","text":"I use a garmin but I also use my atlas to make sure my GPS doesnt send me somewhere I'm not allowed. I also only plan 600 miles a day if I'm running a 65 mph truck, if I can do more great, but if not then I'm not screwed on delivery times.","replyToPid":220580}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I always trip plan at the industry standard 50 mph and add an hr a day for fuel/scale and 30 minute break. Then for live load/unload I add at least 2 hrs per live stop. For drop/hooks I add 1 hr. ","replyToPid":0}

","text":"I made it thru san antonio early early this am and took my fuel stop/30 min break/an hour nap to let Houston die down on rush hour and it was pretty smooth sailing aside from construction and an accident. and tomorrow I'll make it thru Tallahassee and Gainesville before any traffic. hopefully I'll miss any of the college football traffic.","replyToPid":221075}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I plan everything at 50 mph so I also have extra time I'm governed at 70 so I'm over cautious. 600 miles a day is good for those days to get to drive full clock but when you got a delivery and a pickup your plans are always changing.\n\nI keep my dash clear and windshield and headlights clean. also if you keep your curtains to the bunk open DOT tends to leave you alone more, if you're a solo driver. obviously if you're a team and have the stickers then its understood why the curtains are closed.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"ooh that's another thing, keep up on sporting events like football, basketball, nascar, etc and any major concerts that might effect the traffic where you are going. Check weather reports and plan for the weather ahead. You cant use cruise control if it's bad weather.","replyToPid":0}
