{"replyTo":"","text":"Only tip I can give is take pictures and/or video of the problem, or just kidnap the mechanic until they know the symptoms of a problem you are experiencing. I've taken pictures of engine codes that aren't logged in the ECU, or they disappear. I've taken a mechanic out for a drive until I could hit highway speeds to hear the \"whooshing\" noise of what ended up bring an air intake leak at the intercooler, since the turbos didn't really kick in until ya get about 45mph on that particular engine. Even if I tell them I have a bad alternator, and they tell me \"Its fine\".. No, its fine at idle, rev it to 1600rpm and it \"charges\" at 12.7volts is not fine. Reproduce on the lot if you can before and after. Don't trust mechanics that say \"it's fixed\" until you verified you cannot reproduce it anymore.\n\nThe intermittent problems can haunt you for awhile with multiple visits until the lemon has the correct part repaired/replaced/calibrated/adjusted/recalled/whatever","replyToPid":0} |
