{"text":"Hello Fellow Truckers,\n\nMy boss made a huge mistake today. We've been understaffed lately and just to get the job done he hired someone without properly vetting the person. He had seen the driver around working for a reputable company so he thought it wouldn't be a problem. He came in today, checked through insurance and my boss gave him the keys and a diesel card. At this time we track our drivers through a company app on their phone. Unfortunately since he is new, he doesn't have a phone so no tracking. He was supposed to be here at 7pm, it's now approaching 12am. I checked with CHP and they have no records of detaining him or the truck.\n\nMy boss called the guys old co-workers and they told him the guy is a big drug addict. They said he will go missing for days and fall asleep anywhere. I told my boss we need to report the truck stolen ASAP but he does not want to. My boss is a good guy that always gives people the benefit of the doubt. He says putting the guy jail could ruin his life especially if he's going through hard times. I personally would have filed the report already. Boss said if he doesn't show up by the morning that I can file a missing persons report but no stolen truck report. Do you guys think he'll show up tonight? Maybe tomorrow morning?\n\nShould I leave him a message or text threatening him with reporting the truck stolen?\n\nCurrently my boss is looking for him at his drug den and then heading to the guys house.\n\nI'm guessing since he sleeps randomly throughout the day that it's maybe heroin so my guess is he stopped somewhere to shoot up and passed out. Or he could be moving stolen goods. Or breaking the truck apart. IDK. What do you think?\n\nWhat should we do when he shows up?\nDo we even pay the guy? He's been missing longer than he was working.\nWhat do you guys think of sync up fleet by t-mobile as a way to track our trucks?\n\nDo you guys have any stories like this?\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
