{"replyTo":"","text":"How long have you been OTR with WE? Or combined OTR experience ? If it hasn’t been 6 months yet, you’ll definitely have a harder time getting on at any other place that wouldn’t be similar to WE. \nWe put 2 “sucky” years at a “starter company” before moving on to a better company and the difference between the job offers you’ll get if you just “do the time”. \nBut, if you have enough experience on your DOT record , you may be surprised right now if you just went back and reapplied or applied to companies that didn’t hire you before or you didn’t apply to.\nDon’t let their “driver requirements” scare you away (as far as amount of experience, endorsements, criminal record, etc) because they are putting out there the “ideal candidate “ for the job, but we’ve found many of them will bend their “requirements “ once you start the application process and they will let you know right away. \nMy husband couldn’t believe how many offers he got after the 2 years OTR experience and we just sat back and counter offered until he found “the perfect match” for us. It only took filling out one application on a site like TruckersTruth - and he had companies - good, solid companies calling to do on the spot interviews all day long and for every kind of job, too. Dedicated, Regional, etc and he was also able to pick the lanes he wanted so he doesn’t go to the east coast by choice. \nSo stick with it and it’ll work out. If you already have at least 6 months experience, message me and I’ll get you deets for our company. Sometimes they will hire drivers with only 6 months if it was OTR, so you never know!!!","replyToPid":0} |
