628506 发表于 2019-04-24 00:33:11 One of my first truck bosses up here in ND(who used to run livestock)would say to the new guys “try not to break any cows legs”. Is that really a thing running livestock? Hard shifting and etc can do that?

I sleep like a baby, lol.\n\nMainly depends on the company, not the type. Lots of dry van companies that are 100% drop/hook so you never sit in a dock and plenty of miles if that’s what you want."}
662769 发表于 2019-04-23 22:17:23 I haven't been in a tanker in years but yes they do washout after every load. I used to work the oilfield myself with vacuum bottle. Only washed out between oil to water based mud loads or when switching to completion fluids like calcium bromide or barite. Saltwater is the way to go.

662769 发表于 2019-04-23 22:11:05 They all have their own advantages and disadvantages. Generally less waiting with flatbed loads but longer securement time. The list goes on and on. I think it depends on what you cut your teeth on as to what you end up pulling. To me tanker has the best advantages. Limited backing in most situations, little wind resistance, easy loading and unloading, 45-48' trailers.

662769 发表于 2019-04-23 22:43:02 Get your tanker endorsement and apply. Shouldn't be too big of an issue. I knew people who started out with Schneider Tanker Division and liked it.
