Just heard about the trucker shutdown on 12th of this month. Anybody have some thoughts on this?

{"replyTo":"","text":"Yeah I agree, I figured there was money to be made in areas where “If you wanted to go after it, it was there” but honestly paid per mile and all the little stuff in between seems a bit too much.  I get you gotta start out and build experience but some of these companies paying less than .40 cents a mile is just straight slave work. A lot of people don’t understand what it’s like out here on these roads. I agree with the shut down. Drivers have that right. Just hope things change, soon.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"doesn't affect me. that is during my time at home. however, i am just as frustrated with the payscale we get as the next guy is. we bust our bumms for 65+ hours a week. sitting in traffick for hours to roll 5 miles in an hour blows and sometimes, if you calculate it out, you make less than minimum wage  if you are one who gets paid per mile.\nnot to mention the ACA forces us to buy overinflated health insurance, when it should be the company you haul for that pays for it.\nmy 2 cents.","replyToPid":0}
