{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"Take a look at the equipment, little things... how's that driver seat look? Is it torn or do they replace it as it wears out, if a company's not taking care of their trucks they're not going to take care of you. In-house maintenance is everything, nothing worse than telling them your truck is broken and you have to drop it off at the shop and wait for some dude to come pick you up so you can go home, the devil is in the details.\nAsk to see a spreadsheet of the top earners, they don't have to show you names but they can show you what the good guys have been grossing every year, there's no excuse to not show you that info unless they don't pay.\nLet them know that just because you're new you don't want to be the clean-up guy doing all the runs everyone else doesn't want, you're there to earn and you want to know what you can make if you max out your hours. Ask Sam where they run primarily so you can figure out how often you'll be home and what kind of work you'll be dealing with.\nA good company's hiring process should be long and a pain in the butt, there should be an orientation, safety training, and lots of paperwork... Yes it sucks to get on-boarded but any company that invests in its drivers enough to spend a couple days paying you to train is a good company, or at least trying to be."}
