Do you have any idea how many fail safes would have to be put on the truck to even make something such as autonomous driving a real thing? Just one fatality, and they’d have to scrap the whole thing. I can imagine “they” (the powers that be) force all of you to do something similar to the alcohol breathalyzer test. Before you get your license, “you consent and waive your right to sue the manufacturers who designed autonomous driving, if you’re involved in any vehicle accident that used autonomous driving”. That’s what I would do, lol. \n\nHow is the truck going to back itself up? Now you’re going to have to require every single manufacturer and distribution center spend millions upon millions upon millions of dollars to be kept up and be able to receive an autonomous vehicle. Can you start seeing the avalanche and chain reactions that would occur just to get everybody on point? \n\nHow is that electric vehicle mandate working out for everybody?\n\nWould you trust an autonomous vehicle that’s carrying 43,000 pounds plus - that is behind you - not having anybody in it with the potential chance it could lose control?\n\nHow about this one? 1, million + trucks all synchronizing together? Yeah right.. \ntruck hacking, anyone? That would definitely be the ultimate terrorism. \n\nI can keep going… now all of the truck stops would have to revamp and renovate to accommodate all the driverless trucks. How are they going to get powered? Electric? lol, they don’t work very well in very cold conditions. And that is if they even start up . OK so we are going to use diesel… who is going to put the diesel into the tanks? The truck? Now you’re going to be asking the truckstops to design a computer system that would Jerry rig and fill these trucks up. Once again a Star Trek fantasy.\n\nI dare anybody to prove to me that it can work."}
