{"text":"Why have WE, the experienced, allowed this industry to get so fouled up. Have the rest of you just given up to allow dirt bags to take over this industry? I've been out of country for MANY years and when I come back, to my country and the industry I once loved, I see what the industry has become and it is really sad. I haven't seen not ONE person help another. Not one manager being held accountable for truck stops in such sad shape. I DO see a lot of posts, complaining though. {"replyTo":"","text":"The industry goes down more every year. Because alot of drivers only care about themselves.  Look how many take 30 minute breaks in fuel isle. Throw trash in parking lot. Thus causing rest of us Banned.  Drivers are destructive.  But it's not only drivers. It's trucking companies.  They hire less than ideal people to be drivers and not properly train them. When they have issues.  We all get blamed.  I heard numerous companies cheating drivers out of pay. With bogus fees. It's only getting worse","replyToPid":0}

We need to put pressure on truck stop owners, managers, and companies to maintain standards, treat workers fairly, and respect the profession. That could mean using our voices in public forums, contacting management directly, or supporting organizations that advocate for better conditions in the trucking industry.\n\nLastly, mentoring the next generation of drivers is crucial. If we want to restore professionalism, we have to pass on the values that made this industry great: respect, work ethic, and camaraderie. All we as drivers can do is be the best we can be. Keep your machines clean, keep yourself clean, and be the example you’re trying to set. Drive for the best company you can drive for or at least make it as good as you can. Stop blaming others or talking about this or that or “back in my day.” Just be good and be around goodness. Society is in full decay and there’s nothing that can be done to stop it. All we can individually do, is not make it worse.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"It's been a race to the bottom since passage of the Motor Carrier Act of  1980. It brought deregulation to the industry and made it easy to start a trucking company. But, it also brought us Mega carriers, brokers, and a drastic cut in truckers pay. Trucking used to be a solid middle class job, but not anymore.","replyToPid":0}
