{"replyTo":"","text":"In my opinion a DD15 is a solid engine. If you do your oil changes under 25k with semi synthetic and keep up on maintenance that engine can last up to 1 million. You will need to do the occasional overhead. Of course it will depend on the driver and the condition the last driver left it in.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I had a 2009 Cascadia I ran until 1,165,000. Then traded it in last year. You will probably have some oil leaks at the cam frame, & cylinder head gaskets. EGR cooler usually has to get replaced, and injector cup O-rings I had to get around 850,000 I think it was. I bought that truck with 650,000 miles, it was already bastardized mostly. it could have been different if I would have got it new. I changed oil every 15-18k miles.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I've seen many dd15 go a million and some before rebuild, if taken care of properly. 50k mile oil changes is ridiculous and engine won't last running like that. Tuned up they can run really hard. I'd rather have a 60 series. imo","replyToPid":0}
