Dangerous night time driving

{"text":"Darn near could’ve gotten killed the other morning on a dark interstate. On my way to my truck driving job in my car about 5 am.Thought I saw a steel wall up ahead. Nah. Just my imagination. There would’ve been signs saying road closure. So I keep driving and as I get closer I realized what it was. A flipped over tractor trailer! Must’ve happened right before I got there. I barely stopped in time and veered into the grass to avoid driving into it. \n\nDrivers if you’re driving at night always be aware that you can’t see what’s up ahead on the road unless your headlights reach it.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}

I hope you are not one of those that put auxiliary lights or drive with high beams when there is other vehicles in sight. \nI recommend you use every trick you can think of and learn more tips from those of us that drive mostly at night for decades. Use on coming traffic lights to silhouette what might possibly be in front of you like a big rig or other vehicles flipped over with no lights on or animals. Slow down on corners where you are not able to see a quarter mile ahead of you. At least I hope your night sight is able to let you see a quarter mile ahead of you if not then most definitely better slow way down. Look forward ahead of you at least a quarter mile and use all the vehicles in front of you as a guide and if you see them swerving or all of a sudden hit their brakes then it's time to start slowing down also maybe their headlights will light up in front of them and you can see that. Always keep a greater distance between you and any vehicle in front of you. And I mean like two football fields length. Much easier to do since there's not as much traffic at night as in the day. Basically keep greater distances and go slower on places where you can't see a quarter mile ahead of you... like around corners or over the peak of a hill. \nThere's so a lot more tricks and tips. \nEat your carrots 🥕 LoL\nBe safe ✌️"}
