{"text":"I never thought of it because it's my ex husband and he's not a trucker. just an awol soldier who ran off with his mother too. he used to wear sandals and flip flops because he had fungus infections and sweaty feet. (never listened as a soldier, obviously). even in rain which softens the skin and his skin cracked open with all that dirty water. I had to rush him to the ER for blood poisoning. he was in shock. they couldn't even tell what the infection bacteria was. they gave him an emergency IV of high end antibiotics. he had septisemia from his infected foot. there was a red line running up the artery in the back of his leg. I almost lost him that day. he turned grey and was shivering. he never once fell or tripped or wore them wrong. it's just how they are. they let your feet get dirty. he never stopped wearing flip flops and sandals and I now own about a hundred pair of socks. nothing like dry feet.
