I was thinking of picking up a Rand Mcnally TND 1050 10\". but was reading the reviews and truckers seem not to be very happy with them. any input would be helpful \nty","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}

{"replyTo":"","text":"whatever you get don't completely trust a gps. they will all lead you down roads you shouldn't be on. or routes that are less direct","replyToPid":0}
","text":"I'll tell you way, it has froze up with me when I really needed it, at least I was smart enough to WRITE the directions down after I called the place I was going to. and it has sent me to the wrong place and even sent me down a road that wasn't made for trucks. I actually got out of my truck and walked down to see if a truck could get there. and it had a 10 ' 9 clearance","replyToPid":476956}

{"replyTo":"","text":"the BEST one I recommend\nDRIVERS ROAD ATLAS!!! then get those others. a road Atlas will never malfunction, or freeze up or send you the wrong way","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"your best bet is a Garmin 10\"...or even trucker path ..both are what I use .. been trucking for about ten years","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Garmin is good except for truck routing(which is a dammed big exception!).\n\nRand McNally can't do voice control. It can only search for new locations and only if it has an active internet connection. Garmin you can control everything by voice, of course it may hear Emerald City Way, Merry Olde Land of Oz when you ask for Main St. \n\nRand McNally display is a lot less intuitive and doesn't have an elevation(hills) display.\n\nI'm not sure the Rand McNally is any better at truck routing than Garmin.","replyToPid":0}
