5th wheel stability

{"text":"I had some trouble with my locking pins on the 5th wheel slide the other day and I bent the bar down that controls the locking pins so they would lock. they were stuck on the bottom and the 5th wheel was rubbing the airline and I couldn't even use the farthest holes. before they were resting on the 5th wheel when  locked now they arent resting againsr the 5th wheel. seems more stable to rest on it than floating. I'm wondering if this could be the reason I have an increased sensitivity for my stability alerts? any opinions? on the floor or float the pins?
