{"text":"It’s early evening! You’re on a dark highway! It’s lightly raining or lightly snowing! Temperature about 32 degrees! Drivable, but you know it could be a little slippery! Road is hard to see cause it’s so dark! You have one hour left on your 11 or 14 hour clock! You carefully slow down your truck a little, get in the right lane if it has two lanes, and whip out your phone and go to trucker path to try and find parking! \n\nYou see 5 miles up there’s a miniature gas station that has about 5 spots but reviews on trucker path says mostly taken up by locals! You decide not to risk it and keep driving! About 10 miles up there’s another miniature parking area! Same thing! You don’t feel good about parking there! \n\nYour clock is now down to 30 minutes! You safely pull over on a ramp and put yourself on personal conveyance! You see on trucker path there’s a mom and pop type truck stop with 20 spots about 15 miles up the road! You read the reviews and although not the best there’s always some parking available and good for a 10 hr break! \n\nYou finally get some relief and the worry starts to go down when you come up to the exit and see there’s plenty of parking with a handful of trucks there! The lot is muddy with big pot holes! But you don’t care! You’re just grateful you found legal truck parking and are safe for the night! \n\nFrom my experience this is what makes or breaks a truck driver! You either sink or you swim! Most days aren’t like what I described but you will have some days like this! You realize how stressful this can be at times! But when you pass these tests you realize these kinds of hardships is what makes you a safe and good truck driver! \n\nCan anyone relate?\n\n\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
