{"text":"I’ve heard that 70 can be brutal on your truck I’m leaving Schuler Ne in a few days to go to so cal and there’s 2 interstate 70’s. I was wondering which route would be best to take to avoid 80 which has a lot of hills looks like I can go south is to KS, New mx or head or over the top CO and LV?","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Depends on when you need to get there and where in NE you are. There’s only one I-70 which runs through CO& KS-KS if you come through KC you’ll have tolls to pay. Most direct route from NE is 80-76(drops you on 70 at Grand Junction if you take it to the end)-70-15, but there’s numerous ways to go depending on where you’re at, time frame and available HOS left. Has no one ever taught you how to trip plan with an atlas? ","replyToPid":0}

","text":"No I’ve never trip planned with an atlas. I use standard nav apps and truckers path. But I was told to simply avoid 70 from Colorado to Vegas because elevation and hills get as high as 11k feet. So I’ll trip plan around that area. Thx for the reply. Im old enough where I used a Thomas guide so if I had to get the atlas I’d be able to figure it out ","replyToPid":444032}
