{"text":"So the dealer told me my truck (975k miles) will need a new engine. The engine cannot be rebuilt. The cost for a “complete” new engine replacement with components like the fuel pump, air compressor, etc. and labor will be roughly 53k. I can also get a so called 3/4 new engine replacement that won’t come with the fuel pump, etc. I haven’t gotten a quote for the 3/4 engine, but I think it’s possibly about 40k.\n\nRight now I am leaning more toward buying another truck, preferably a new truck, except that there are practically no new trucks available nationwide from Freightliner, Kenworth, or Peterbilt. They’re backed up by months due to the coronavirus and a shortage of microchips that these trucks use. So maybe I’ll just try to get the newest used truck possible because the used truck sales are off the charts due to a serious shortage of new trucks.\n\nPete!!! What do you think?","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
