GPS Navigator vs GPS Navigation App

{"text":"I have been toying with this alternative to window mounted navigators. This navigator/phone mount would allow me to have a larger screen. It mounts a 10” iPad and an iPhone 12. Once installed it would be located at the lower portion of the dash, off center and more to the passenger side. It would be easily viewed and accessible. Another advantage would be having the windshield clear. I currently have a Dezlcam, a navigator that I find so-so. I have no trouble with laying out money for a good navigator. They are now going for $800+; but they are just SOOOO BIG!\n\nAnyway, I have been waffling between installing the iPad/iPhone mount which would require a separate window mounted dash cam. Or going with an new Rand McNally or Garmin GPS. I’d appreciate any feedback or advice.
