How Long to stay with a company?

For anyone new this is a hard business in the beginning it is also a direct reflection of the effort you put into it. stay with a company for a year without problems, the next company will be better and pay more. spend time researching companies before you leave, write down a list of questions to use each time you talk to a company you think you may be interested in. are there forward facing cameras in your truck, what is your governed speed, are your trucks standard, automatic or do you have both, can I bring it home if not where do I have to leave it ? what is your policy on breakdowns, how am I compensated? are loner trucks available. what do you have for driver benefits ? what is your percentage of drop and hook, will I be required to unload the truck at any time. ","text":"To be a contractor (“owner operator”) under a fleet, you really do not need 1 year of experience. Maybe 3 months to learn the basics of being a truck driver. Your company will likely have you take a few classes on how to become a successful contractor. Then you’ll be assigned a business counselor. It’s really not rocket science.
