what company hires person with 2 months experience?

Is this something that you think you want to try or is your heart set on being a truck driver or a Professional truck driver. Has this been a want or a dream to get into this. Do you have a family at home, if so will this Lifestyle affect you or them if you have to be gone for long periods of time, 2, 4, 6 weeks or possibly longer at a time. If home time isn't a problem and you are set on doing this. Then to cut your teeth and get the experience i will suggest, without the experience under your belt, you talk to some of the large carriers and see what they have to offer without having to get into one of there lease programs. I don't know of any that give you all of the full details of that lease contract without you actually reading and understanding all of the legal ease. See if they have any positions that allow you to work as a W2 employee and not a 1099 contractor. To be fair with you don't expect to earn more than possibly .42 cents per mile for a couple of years as a W2 employee. The larger companies are more willing to take a chance on you. Not sure where you live but sometimes you can find a small 1 to 5 truck  local company that will take a chance on you. Keep in mind your driving record is your livelihood so keep it clean both professionally and in your personal vehicle. Do that for a couple of years then if you feel like this is the profession you really want to stay in start looking at some of the medium sized companies that may offer more for you (i.e. insurance, more pay, dedicated or long haul, maybe guaranteed home time etc.) but get your experience and keep your driving record clean. That will make or break you. Just keep this in mind being gone from home is very very hard on a family. I'm not trying to scare you but this is the realities of this profession.","replyToPid":0}
