764614 发表于 2020-09-25 01:50:48 I'm looking at short term. Advisor said it's more for use until ssdi. But what about only being off for a month or two is what I'm wondering. So many o/o need there income to stay afloat. Being o/o for years has nothing to do with it either. Trucks cost money as do the daily equipment.
","text":"I would definitely carry both short and long term disability on myself as an O/O. You just have to do your. due diligence as some short term disability policies do not cover on the job injuries. Work comp might be too costly to carry. But I would definitely consult an insurance agent that specializes in the trucking industry. I tore all the tendons in my rotator cuff a few years ago and was off work for 8 months. Thank god we had money put away because disability only pays about 60% of your pre injury earnings, but it is better than nothing.","replyToPid":399374}
