Speed and inexperience most likely and how easily it is to get a CDL these days with total lack of any type of knowledge or experience driving big trucks on all sorts of roads and conditions and weather. I had a driver wanting a job at my company that didn't even know what a gladhand was or how to connect them correctly or know what to check for or what to do in case any issues might arrise with them. Driving a big rig is not learn as you go. It's not what most people would call a job. It is a lifestyle. If you don't know what I mean by calling it a lifestyle then please seek employment elsewhere and keep the general public a bit more safe and insurance rates down for the rest of the trucking industry.
