Job search advice

{"text":"I’m finally done with my year with swift. I was in a tough spot and just needed fast money so that’s why I joined swift. I was raised on a farm so I have flatbed experience and we hauled cars and tractors and hay. Anyone who was raised on land knows how that goes. I have experience but it’s unverifiable. I can drive just about anything but I have a restriction on my license that only lets me drive automatics 🙄 (I can get it taken off). I’d really like to get into CAR HAULING. Any advise will help and if you have something better, just let me know.\n\nPs,\nI know there’s going to be racial comments. Just ignore them. ","text":"Swift is one of if not the largest carrier in the US. Of course they’re going to have people who shouldn’t be under the wheel if a semi. It’s part of having the largest fleet. I fir one agree that a lot of people who passed should not have because u was there watching them as they “trained.” You have to start somewhere though. I was fortunate enough to already have experience. The year I’ve been driving I’ve seen more O/o and other companies in a ditch or back into someone than I have Swift. It’s all about perspective sir. If someone doesn’t want to hire me because of my name or the company I worked for then so be it 🤷🏾‍♂️ I have other skills. I can weld, operate heavy machinery, construction, some electrical experience. I’ll be good lol","replyToPid":384512}

I got my Charger for 22.5k at zero down because of the partner program with Chrysler. There are others. If you are settled and happy enough, stick. The grass isn't much greener elsewhere. If you can find something near your home city that's best because you know you will be getting back home on a regular basis. They will want to bring the truck home for most service and repair."}

","text":"Thanks, it wasn’t the route I wanted to take being with swift but times were hard and I needed money. Went from a job making $2.1k a week plus $100 per diem to not anywhere near half that with swift 🤦🏾‍♂️","replyToPid":384500}

","text":"Yea my mom didn’t think that through as far as my name. I figured that’d hold me back with jobs. That’s why my son will not have a “ghetto” name. I like my name, it’s unique.
