Hotshot advice

Do I need a brand new truck or could I go with something like a 2nd gen Cummins? DOT regulations? Any advice would be nice. You can get 1 credit card and charge $5 on it every few months then pay it off the next month. This will rebuild your credit as time goes by. Creditors will settle on a debt for 25% of the original amount once it goes to collections, usually. Just stay out of debt, it’s the biggest trap in your financial life. ","text":"Very very good advise. And yes it’s completely feasible. But most people don’t want to hear it and will say it’s not possible because they want the shiny stuff. My dad (debt free his whole life) always said an old pair of vise grips works exactly same as a new pair, as long as you oil them once in a while! A truck, trailer, pickup, etc is simply a tool to make money. If you want to shine up your vise grips and parade them around that’s your call, but that won’t make you any more money than keeping them clean and oiled up. And yes, listen to Dave Ramsey. {"replyTo":"","text":"The $5 on the credit card won’t help. Just use the card but make sure you don’t use more then 30 percent of the cards value. So if the card limit is $1,000 don’t got over $300 per billing cycle if you spend $325 just make a early payment of $30 before the bill is printed. It’s okay to make 1 or 2 monthly payments to build credit but pay it off. Your score will jump 100 points easier this way. ","replyToPid":0}
