{"text":"So, the new trucks companies are providing drivers are coming with lane control, collision avoidance and blind spot sensors. Of the three only the blind spot sensor is useful. Does anyone know how to circumvent these annoyances? \nNot sure if it is the same for everyone, but all the beeping, buzzing, and blinking is stressful. When a system alerts, it mutes the radio no matter the source. I know that I am not the only one that finds the radio a de-stresser. I just want all the noise to stop. We as drivers have enough stress to deal with and do not need it from the vehicles we drive and practically live in. ","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true}

{"replyTo":"","text":"We had the Mobil eye system in our trucks, they are no longer installing them in the trucks because it was a huge distraction, it would go off constantly in construction zones, or it would read the 15 mph zone for the weigh station when you were actually in a 70 mph zone. Our main sensor was mounted on the windshield, there is a way to bypass the system and I’m leaving it at that, if you’re a good safe driver you don’t need it, you could be the best driver in the world and that thing would still go off, the one feature I liked about it though was it would tell you how many seconds the vehicle in front of you is, so I liked that, but you can count how many seconds they are in front of you anyways, well that is if you know how to count 😂","replyToPid":0}

","text":"I am a senior driver, first driving job in ‘92 and still going. I do not need a computer to confirm what my eyes already see and my mind already knows. Furthermore, it makes a lot of mistakes and will attempt to apply the brakes. This is severely dangerous in winter driving. I am not even sure if it gives the fools tailgating me whether it be the four wheelers or another truck a warning that the brakes are being applied. I do not need the downtime caused by this whether it is automatically the tailgaters fault. We as drivers will still have it show up on our driving record.  Also, it does not stop the idiots that pull back into my lane in front of me again whether car or truck and it wants to once again apply the brakes. Remember, one step forward and two steps back means you are not getting anywhere and we drivers get little pay per mile. \n I want it disabled/circumvented permanently. I have heard aluminum foil does the trick. Anyone know of any others? ","replyToPid":271575}

{"replyTo":"","text":"You unplug that and you won’t need it anyway. Your company will terminate you for that. There’s a reason they’re paying a lot of extra money for those systems. It’s not for drivers to bypass. ","replyToPid":0}
