{"replyTo":" 280160 发表于 2019-11-24 13:33:17 it truly is nothing fancy,\nhttps://i.imgur.com/EvUnYod.jpg\n\nPretty crudely built and I don't have any real plans to post, I guess you could call it a prototype. I wanted to use a strong lightweight plastic for it (can't remember the name of the stuff I saw long ago), but the local hardware store didn't carry it.\n\n1/4\" sheet of plywood for the bottom to provide a smooth surface and protect the water cases from sliding on the uneven floor of the bunk.\nThe vertical pieces made of 1/2\" plywood are attached via 90 degree metal brackets and screwed down through the bottom plywood into the bunk itself (I own the truck)\nThe top is 1/2\" particleboard since it is stronger and far less likely to warp then plywood. It's attached to the vertical pieces with right angle brackets as well.\n\nassembled it in the truck.\n\nBut, as I said, pretty crudely made. It can't easily handle the road vibration and rocks back and forth on bumpy roads. Half the right angle brackets have snapped so need to buy stronger ones or find some other way to reinforce it against lateral movement like a diagonal brace. ","text":"Thanks for that. I’m always looking for ideas, concepts, etc. \n\nRight now, I’d be happy to get my cooler off my passenger seat and up on the top bunk.\n\n👍🏼","replyToPid":261234} |
