{"replyTo":"","text":"I’ll bounce back before anyone pays anything less than$1.87 a running mile. And the only way I would take that is if I had a great rate going the other way. I tell brokers and clients alike I won’t be the cheapest, but you’re going to look a long time to find someone more dependable. Case in point I just broke the left front Spring on my truck. I got two cause the other one was on it the truck just as long. It might last for two years or two weeks, but it is getting changed in the next few weeks. I’m not going to risk it breaking while I’m busy. Maybe I spend more than I would need to, but I rarely EVER break down in my busy season. I keep a list of the things that my truck needs and as soon as I get it on the list parts get ordered. There are not many breakdowns that don’t have some kind of warning sign before they happen. I have too much play in the rear driver pinion shaft right now when I slow down in December it’s going to be redone. I know it’s gonna cause problems, but not if I get to it first. \n Total cost per mile without my pay (insurance, fuel, tires, maintenance EVERYTHING) is $.78 cpm truck and trailer ","replyToPid":0} |
