Method to Remove APU Fuel from Truck Fuel For IFTA

{"text":"For IFTA filing, which method do you use to remove the APU fuel from the truck fuel if both use the same tank? I have a Tripac APU and according to their 2009 brochure, this APU pretty much uses one gallon every 7 hours (or, 7hrs/gal). My guess as to why it is so high may be due to marketing and also compensating for Espar heater use.\n\nAnyway, initially I was thinking about assuming use of 10hrs every work day (based on per diem). Now I am considering just using my engine hours on my APU as it should be more accurate for my 7hrs/gal calculation. What do you guys think?","pics":"[]","canComment":true}
