{"text":"Looking through the O/O section I see many questions being asked about how to get into the business and a lot of answers are don’t, it sucks, you’ll go broke, it’s terrible, there’s no money, freight sucks...... yet they are still out and running 😂 Trucking isn’t for everyone that’s for sure but I would think that helping to build up more O/O in the industry would strengthen things in general. \n\nSo why all the negativity? If you couldn’t make money out here there wouldn’t be any owner opps out here. I read an article the other day that stated something like 80% or more of this industry is made up of companies with 100 or less trucks. Small companies and owner operators. Mega carriers mess up a lot of things but the small guys are still the backbone of this industry. \n\nI’m thinking about tossing my hat into the ring after 20+ years of driving. It’s in my blood 🤘🏼 There is money out here to be made. If there wasn’t, all these negative Nancy’s wouldn’t be driving trucks. As with any business, if you don’t run it right you will fail. Trucking is almost bulletproof. We all need to eat, sleep, wipe our butts, build, drink, fix things.... All of everything we want and need comes on a truck. There is no other way. 360 million people in this country that need to live and trucking is what makes that happen. Sure times get tough here and there but it won’t ever stop. The pie is huge out here and there’s enough for everyone to have a slice of it. ","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
