{"replyTo":"","text":"There’s always going to be a nostalgic fun factor for me tied to shifting gears and all, but honestly, it’s 2019 already and I’m so over ruining my knees with a clutch pedal in traffic jams. Although I would say avoid the Eaton Advantage 10 Speed automatic transmission. The stupid thing actually shifts itself out of gear and into neutral in hopes of saving maybe a half of a mpg, but not really, because it’s so slow to react, it waits until you dip 2-3 mph below what your cruise is set on, then reva the engine and jars back into gear. It’s annoying and unsafe. I’ve dealt with it in a crappy International for a while. I constantly fought with it to keep it in gear. The loose vibration from the engine idling and the clutch and transmission being disengaged while coasting causes instability and I’ve even had to correct-steer when it got loose 🙄. I do prefer the iShift in the Volvo as well. I like to manually shift while on mountains, any other time it’s automatic. ","replyToPid":0} |
