{"replyTo":"","text":"Condolences to the family of our fellow trucker.\n\nI am a strong advocate for making seatbelt use for big rig commercial truckers to be a choice and not a law. As proven here in this unfortunate incident and many many others - seatbelts will most often never save a truckers life when we get involved in a crash.\n\n* Uncomfortable. \n* Useless.\n* Restricting. \n* Nuisance.\n* Unnecessary. \n* Painful Abrasion.\n\nThe list goes on and on - but at slow speed crash - no benefit and at high speed crashes useless.\n\nSo - Do we truckers know the unified power that we have or are we just gonna keep accepting every simple regulations placed on us by recent college graduates whose noses are still wet and sleeping in their mothers bed? We can change the seatbelt use law for big rig truckers - to be a choice to wear it - and not a law that we must wear it or be fined hundreds of dollars. \n\nSurely the patrolling police officers could concentrate on. more serious violations like whose coffee is freshest and which donut is best. Right? or Wrong?","replyToPid":0}
