","text":"I agree except for the fact that Texas is already invested in multiple sources of energy. Gov Abbott tried to put the blame on wind turbines when in reality, wind AND solar energy in Texas only make up about 10% of our energy sources. Other sources include nuclear, coal, and natural gas. All of which were affected by the freezing temperatures. \n\nThe real issue was that because Texas' grid is private, they don't have to abide by federal regulations. One of those regulations is to winterize your equipment to avoid this very problem. But Texas chose not to spend the money in insulation and here we are. I should also point out the fact that the same thing happened 10 years ago. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson.","replyToPid":417697}
