If it’s slipperier than snot on a door knob it’s probably algae. I like to carry a few extra sets of fuel and oil filters with me all the time just in case they get clogged. Saved me more than a couple times. Get you a foam air cleaner like a k&n type and keep it maintained, you’ll see a jump in mpg and it’s a better design than paper elements.
