505487 发表于 2019-05-21 20:19:42 Unfortunately you are most likely going to pay your dues, And try to find one of the larger carriers Because of insurance issues, Due to you having no experience to insure you is expensive, The larger carriers are self insured, And pay crap, And treat you like a number, The one advantage you have is you do already have your CDL I'm not bragging at all, But I went to CR England once my training phases were over I was offered solo at $.24 cents per mile, or teams with a split $.31 cpm or $.34 cpm for doing Relief and Recovery flying out of state picking up abandoned tractors or from repair shops, I did that for 8 months then went to a smaller carrier who gave me a chance I went from $430. a week at CR England to $1,300 OTR. that was about 5 yrs. ago Just look up and do your research on whatever Company you choose and don't get talked into leasing a truck. get your experience and get away from the larger carriers they are thieves. If for example they employ 70% of all drivers, then 70% of all negative feedback you hear is about them. \nIn my opinion, it’s better to start out with one of them. They hold your hand into the industry and pay for, while introducing you to all the costs, planning, and other little things that you would be expected to know elsewhere.\n\nI don’t know about all of them, but I think between CR England, Werner, and Swift, Swift is the way to go. ","text":"I drive for Doug Andrus Dist. Out of Idaho Falls Idaho, you don’t have to live in Idaho, we have a lot of out of state drivers, the pay isn’t the highest, but it’s not bad either, my take home is generally between $900-1400 per week. We have pretty dependable miles which make up for a company that pays more but can’t keep you running. We have around 300 drivers, so not a huge company but not a small company either. The equipment is maintained very well, and if something goes wrong the company bends over backwards to make it right.
