{"replyTo":"","text":"Disagree- in part. \nThere are - yes, in my experience- three primary reefer loads \n\nProduce. Can go to superstore/ grocery, or restaurant supply. Or, for example, potatoes to frito-lay ( ran hard, heavy, and boring, but paid well)\n\nMeats. Again, yes, to superstore etc. if from processor such as Boars Head. Or from butcher plant to processor. Or either to overseas. Etc\n\nGreenhouse. Not a lot to go around, and can be seasonal. Light loads, multiple drop, but I found them fun. And paid well.\n\nDelivering for a big grocery chain, can be good or bad. Kroger ( and it’s holdings) is a sub-optimal choice. Deliver there, better bring a few books. \nAnd - sometimes they insist on setting the delivery schedule. If THAT isn’t an exercise in wishful thinking!\n\nThe loads HAVE to pay well, because they don’t pay detention. \n\nIn general, yeah. Try to avoid local delivery runs. Nothing is more fun than trying to drive a 75 foot vehicle through Queens, or some small parking lot- full of expensive cars.","replyToPid":0} |
