{"replyTo":"","text":"Stumbled on this post so I thought I would put my 2 pennies in. Don’t lease from company carriers! You will be a company driver with a responsibility of an  owner. What happens is that you get a truck from them, and they tell you where and when to service “your” truck. You will also need to call the company and get approved before doing any kinds of repairs on it. On top of that, you will also need to carry the company’s freight for pennies. I talked to some of the so-called O/O, and they make about 1$-1.5 per mile but have truck and repair experience. Not worth working for the devil.  Don’t make money for the mega carriers! Get your own authority and a low interest loan from the bank to buy your truck. ","replyToPid":0}

Most never own the truck and don’t make what an owner/op should. Just be a company driver, save your money, get good credit and buy your own in your name and lease it to a carrier, preferably a small to medium size one.
