To get more money they need to attract money to the company.  They need to get the people invested in lumber or electronics or widgets to invest in oil instead.  They do that by offering a greater return on investment.  If Shell oil REALLY increased profit margins by 200% every investor in the planet would have dumped whatever stock they had and bought Shell.\n\nShell stock is up 26% in 2021(2022 isn't over yet) but that's up from 2020 when it was DOWN 38%. ","text":"well to my advantage for heating my home I don't use electricity or oil, I have  wood burning stoves which I also use to cook on, my kitchen stove is also heated by firewood so electricity is not a problem with me, I also use lanterns and candles for lighting, I don't depend upon service to survive in the winter","replyToPid":468220}
