Slowing in the rain is alright because of hydroplaning plus if it's coming down hard, you can prepare to stop. These other drivers going that fast are the ones that give drivers a bad rep. Do as you feel comfortable as long as it's safe and legal. Hopefully soon you will be up driving your 65 mph in no time. I have 18 years experience with no preventable accidents. It's a big machine you are in control of and it's why we get paid to drive them safely.
