Example\naim your tandems for the yellow paint. if need be put mark on the ground..rock or stick and use that as a point of reference. or even track marks left by other trucks..follow those with your tandems\n.beware of your overhang as well.  when steering give it a little extra time for the trailer to react . come out of a turn too soon it screws you up. .\nIDLE SPEED... let the engine do the work. no need to gun it.. \ntakes practice. some days I can blindside in one shot\nothers I couldn't straight line to save my life","replyToPid":0}

It creates too much rear swing. open your windows, turn up your cb to listen for people nearby willing to give you spotting. Seeing that I started in Chicago and run out of the rails, I knew it was imperative. If you ever feel like you’re struggling, see if your company can get you with a trainer for a day or 2. If not, pick some of the more difficult spots, take your time, get out and look as much as you need, but don’t give up!!! Too many drivers look for easy access spots or situations that allow them to pull through. That will do nothing but hinder you, because we all know, there are many situations that will really put your backing skills to the test and leave you with no alternative. Hang in there! {"replyTo":"","text":"I'm pretty new but something that helps me is think about which way the bulkhead (front of trailer) needs to go and turn the wheel that way. Also, when straight line backing the bulkhead will respond before the back of the trailer so it's easier to spot the correction in time.","replyToPid":0}
