{"replyTo":" 647280 发表于 2019-07-21 18:46:29 It used to be a very respectful position to have, at one point folks actually looked up to us. Unfortunately the industry has had to many #&*%@! drivers and the respect thing has gone out the window. By that I mean, piss bottles laying around at Walmart and truckstops, , the filthy language, the ones that only shower once a week, the 450 lb drivers that never heard of weight watchers and then there's the super trucker that wants to be heard in a public place. All of these observations ( and many more) have what I call \"Tainted the industry.\" I've been at this for 25 years and the garbage wannabe truck drivers I see coming out of the woodwork also raises my eyebrows.\n\n Just sayin' ","text":"You left out the fact that a large percentage of us are out and out stupidly rude on the road, if not flamingly incompetent.\n“Drivers “ are turned loose on the roads after just a few weeks of “training” ( I’m one of them- but I knew it. I got lucky when my truck broke and I had to spend 6 weeks teaming with an actual driver)\n\nBut more than anything, it’s actually not specific to truck drivers. Culturally, we look down at *any* blue collar job. The implication is blue collar workers aren’t smart enough to get a real education/job, so they’re just a bit sub-human\nAnd the government doesn’t consider this a “skill” position, such as plumbing or mechanic.\n\n","replyToPid":152110} |
