So this is not an issue. \n\nYou can also disable creep mode so that every time you release accelerator at slow speeds the truck depresses clutch. It allowed you to touch docks gently as you would by playing clutch with a manual transmission. Now that's what most companies have for you to drive especially if you are just starting out in this industry.    But to answer your question, of course they are, there is a whole lot more to trucking than shifting gears.  I know old timers that have starting using automatics and they love it. I really think its just a preference.  JMHO

","text":"CDL singular. Do you have more than one? I have to disagree. A majority of the seat warmers out here nowadays should not have the privilege of calling themselves  a “Truck Driver”! This industry entails more than just sitting in a seat and steering the wheel. It is a drivers responsibility to know the length of a brake stroke and how make adjustments properly. This one of the major problems in trucking. Mega carriers have put automatics in their trucks in an attempt to make this an “any monkey can drive job”!  How much do you think you are worth if there is no “SKILL” required to perform this work safely?","replyToPid":126049}
