The regulations make us safer at the cost of our time. You’re thinking like a company that recruits by saying “We can get you 3000 miles a week!” I don’t care about mileage, I care about pay. If you work less for more money you will be just as happy if not happier than working more for less pay. I’d rather drive 1500mi@$1/mi than 3000mi@50cpm. ","replyToPid":0}

","text":"Your right but wrong at the same time. The problem is the we’ve gotten really good with specializing in our jobs. A lot of people these days are ignorant about the fact that everything comes by trucks. They think it’s made at the Stores. Protesting would be good but the protests never have enough drivers involved to be noticed nationwide. You’d have to organize 1/3 or more of the National Driver population behind a small group of people that could be talking heads. You’d have to shutdown movement of consumer goods because that’s the biggest market and highest volume per trailer items, never interfere with infrastructure, medical, or government items because that would affect National Security and that should be considered treason.","replyToPid":11901}
