With the parking shortage, I’m thinking about investing in building a small truck stop. Where would y’all want one?

And if you want to go cheap, just can out any showers, fueling, etc., and just have a gigantic monstrous parking lot. Have 10-15 portapoties and you’re golden. They’ll be fine with the portapoties; I’m pretty sure half the guys take a 💩 in their own truck - if they had to.\n\nEdit: and if it’s successful, you might be able to have the state(s) janitorial crew, the ones that do the rest areas, help you maintain the portapoties."}

You'd be better off just buying land in Truck heavy areas, paving it or graveling it and then installing paid parking machines. With a 2 acre plot you can easily fit 80 truck parking spots, throw a couple porta potties and a bunch of trash cans, then all you'll need is somebody to go around and empty the trash cans. Even if you only average a third of the spots filled, at $20 a night, that's $500 a day"}
