The gps will determine the route, and then I will use the side menu “Edit Route” when you select this option it opens another screen and I select “Shape Route Add shaping point”.  This allows you to customize your route to match the permits route. {"replyTo":"","text":"By the more expensive randmcnally atlas get sun dry erase markers and a eraser and have your route and alt routes planned step by step and take your main route and write it on your windshield with the dry erase markers and erase away steps as you complete should negate for the most part of missing turns and what not, you can also change the weight settings amoung other things for your truck mapping here in the app to have it route you or do as arline said and get a gramin.
