{"replyTo":"","text":"I use it to find truck stops and just to have something right away because my Qualcomm GPS is slow to reroute if a turn is missed. It's not good though. It will then start trying to have you trying to make impossible turns down roads not designed for trucks to U-turn. Like suburban gated neighborhoods and narrow dirt paths. Also, when planning a route it severely limits the use of state and county roads that can save you tons of miles. It barely even sends you down US Highways, preferring Interstates only. Rarely shorter routes pop up along the way as a Grey line that you tap to change to, but the message that comes up that \"x miles shorter/longer and x amount of time saved or added to trip is usually way wrong. Out of curiosity, and because my other GPS is sometimes wrong too, I run both. This one will send my 70 miles out of the way to get me on an interstate instead, so ignore it, follow the other GPS, then once I'm about 5 -10 miles off the route that it wants, screeching about impossible uturns at every intersection (I put it on mute), it finally switches over to the better route and I watch 75 miles instantly vanish from the total miles left at bottom of screen. WTF didn't it just suggest that way in the first place?\n\n Not sure why I pay for this app. Mostly because it messed up and charged me for a whole year last time instead of a month and I was to lazy to complain. It definitely isn't for the gamed truck stop availability reporting where any a-hole looking to get a spot later on can mark a truck stop \"full\" from any location. Shouldn't they at least have to be there to do that?\n\nThis app is wack. I too am looking for a better GPS that will show me the shortest route and the quickest one. Don't really want to shell out $600 for a Rand McNally, but it seems to be the best from what I can gather. Their paper maps are certainly the best.","replyToPid":0} |
