{"replyTo":"","text":"Ok here’s the hard truth of the situation. Until you have a MINIMUM of a year under your belt no one but megacarriers will even look at you. Part of this is lack of experience-you don’t even have 4 seasons under your belt. The other part is insurance. You’re treated essentially like a driver under the age of 25 with underwriting until you have about 2 years accident free and no bad inspections. Stick it out for another 6 months where you are because company hopping doesn’t look good on the resume to small companies and you lack experience. This is part of the “pay your dues in the industry” and build a solid foundation so you CAN move to better companies that actually care about the drivers. As an owner with 30 years experience this is the advice I’ll offer you. Yes it s$&6, but we’ve all been there. As for them bypassing the shutdown override there’s usually a trick. Some newer trucks you have to leave the key in the “on” position-like you’re playing the radio with it turned off-in order for it to turn on automatically. If the APU isn’t functioning, take it to the shop until they fix it or swap you into a different truck with a working APU. If they refuse to fix it, report them to OSHA for hazardous working conditions and you can report them to FMCSA for failing to maintain equipment. ","replyToPid":0} |
