1529073 发表于 2022-06-01 13:15:11 I've been o/o for 20 yrs.  still have days I want to explode. some days you lose a driveshaft (because your running too much and not enough maintenance time) or water pump replacement in truckstop parking lot. or reefer fan clutch goes and you have a -10 load on.  first 3-4 years were the worst. now things happen I just breathe and relax and get the situation fixed then it's another day. hang in there keep your chin up it never gets easier just easier to handle. slow down and breathe. Eventually you'll feel as comfortable as you did in the newer kw.

Things you now spend time thinking about will become automatic… like shifting 😉 I went independent o/o 4.5 years ago… no regrets.

I've been driving for 24 years as a company driver even though I've never been an O/O I'm sure you guys and gals have a lot on your plate with maintenance. I go thru a phase that I want to give it up but the next day everything is ok. I wish you all the luck and hope everything goes well

","text":"Hopefully this info helps you. Shift between 1200 and 1500 RPM. Listen to Engine. You will learn when to float gears.  Also change oil every 15k. Once a week climb under truck or stop and get it greased. Also a important thing Since your New Owner.  Find a tax Accountant with trucking experience.  Lots of deductions available to you.
