","text":"That is not what came to mind. I never thought of any trainees as ‘against the trade’ just a little too cocky in not allowing themselves to be ‘trainable’ in order to be the best they can once on their own.\n\nDid you know, that our profession has an annual turnover rate of anywhere between 90% to 120% + ?\n\nProper training will greatly increase the success of a new driver, but the driver must be receptive and cooperative to instruction.\n\nSadly, I myself was one of those we are talking about when I came into the industry. A change occurred in me only after several incidents and accidents and tickets within my first couple of years. Then I understood, that living and working out here for weeks at a time requires a system of logic for survival. (as in successful operations)\n\nWhen a good trainer who wears his or her heart on their sleeve and truly cares about passing on trade tips and tricks and it is ignored or insulted, then that is where some of the friction on this topic comes in.\n\nThe next time you have a chance to listen to two or more trainers talk, listen carefully to what they are saying between the rude insults and name calling. Listen to the ‘reason’ that is not being communicated and the moral of the experience. I think that would help you better understand the dynamic. It is no different an attitude that you will find in other trades, or even the military.\n\nIt is just talk. Its cheap. {"replyTo":"","text":"you all need to take a look out west way and see what's going on there people are driving trucks that can't read it write English they don't have a clue as to weight ratio for stopping they don't use mirrored just come over on people run wife open in construction zones killing people every day cause they young don't wanna listen and are busy watching movies eating samiches with get propped on dash\n\nI myself have been doing this for over 30 years I've seen a lot, done a lot, been in a lot of situations done I don't know how I didn't end up in the ditch or woods only by the grace of the good Lord that there are as many ads there is left out here I learn something everyday I don't know it all but when a driver says he does get away from him cause bad things are gonna happen\n\nI'll say this take pride in what you do be the best you can at what your doing listen and learn from older guys but most importantly be respectful to others and show respect to others test people the way you want to be treated respect is earned not given","replyToPid":0}
