If they pay you $25 an hour, and you work 55 hrs a week and 51 weeks a year, that’s roughly 70k. So, you’re making good money as a local driver. You definitely want to make over 60k per year and you don’t want to be working over 60 hrs a week or else you’ll feel overworked. \n\nThe best working schedules that I heard of were from Sysco and US Foods. Their working schedules are 4 full days of 12-14 hours, and 3 days off. There was also opportunity to work another day.

","text":"You could be right. Some local trucking companies could be paying overtime at 1.5 even though they’re not required by their state. I thought NV was a state that required overtime for local truckers. "}

","text":"Thank you that really helps me as a guide to my current job and I’m going to start checking how many hours I put in my elog-book although I do remember to some weeks finishing with just a couple hours. So I must record my work hours to do the math. So far I’m in the .60/mile/bobtail one way and 1.20/mile when hauling trailer both ways. But hourly makes different math. Could be between 2.5 hrs to 3.25 hrs for the most part.","replyToPid":435390}
