It’s not necessary anyway and keeps drivers from doing a proper lane change. Regardless of if someone flashes you or not, always follow proper procedures for making a lane change. Lane change accidents are in the top 5 most common accidents.\n\nYeah, drivers don’t care much for one another, but many will hold the door for you if you’re right behind them. Back in 2013 when I started trucking, people didn’t use to do this, but apparently now it’s common. Maybe because before people thought it was “gay” to do that. People may have gotten over that.\n\nIf it’s a woman, then you just let her in first, while for a man you just hold the door while you go in first, at least that’s how I understand it. Hahaha.\n\nMaybe you’re comparing trucking now versus 30 years ago. I’ve only been trucking since 2013, so I cannot relate. Trucking have been aggressive on the road since I started. ","text":"You’re not supposed to have your high beams on at all times, especially on an interstate highway. It’s so annoying. I understand you don’t know those particular roads well enough, but turn them off whenever someone passes you or until they’re far enough from you.\n\nTurning on your high beams are more for driving on two-lane roads where the roads aren’t as straight, wide, or well built like the interstate highway. Then there’s a larger presence of wildlife. There having your high beams (momentarily) can be useful. ","replyToPid":425860}

Everyone marches to their own drum  so if you want turn em, or don't. ","text":"You blind other drivers, moving in both directions. High beams in my mirrors are as much a hazard as in front of me. Flashing high beams on a passing truck says, DON'T DO IT!  Head lights to running lights to headlights has been the industry standard.","replyToPid":425860}
